With an in-person and with an online option, the EMCC Global Mentoring Conference creates an opportunity for mentoring professionals to connect, learn, and develop.  I am a huge advocate of mentoring having not only been mentored but also a mentor for over 25 years. 

The distinction between coaching and mentoring and the shared competencies of each is of more relevance today than it has ever been.  As a professional coach my value is to cultivate autonomy, empowerment and critical thinking but what has influenced my coaching style has been my years mentoring where I transferred knowledge and my lived experience in global management and leadership roles.  Both disciplines coexist perfectly in my practice and are invaluable in development of individual competencies and contribution that are the competitive authentic advantage over AI and the relentless march of technology.
